State Broadcaster RTÉ have publicly issued a statement giving their support to their own news reporter Jonathan Clynch who recently revealed that he/she identifies as ’gender fluid’.
Clynch (44) has received messages of support from the public in recent days after announcing he is gender fluid, Clynch will now be known as Jonathan Rachel Clynch whilst reporting for RTÉ. The national broadcaster, released a brief statement recently showing their support saying: “We, both as an employer and broadcaster, value the uniqueness of individuals and encourage diversity and equality. “We are 100% supportive of Jonathan Rachel who is a valued member of staff and a highly respected journalist.”
