There was some sad news announced late last night as Hollywood actor Robert Loggia sadly passed away aged 85.
The star who is best remembered for his roles in hit movies such as Scarface, Jagged Edge, Big and Independence Day died at his home at noon Friday. The tragic news was confirmed by his wife Audrey, who told entertainment news website TMZ, that her husband was struggling with Alzheimer’s for the past 5 years. Mrs Loggia said things took a drastic turn for the worse on Wednesday, before he seemed to rebound and then tragically died suddenly.
Mrs Loggia said her husband died peacefully at home and that she and their daughter Cynthia were at Robert’s bedside when he passed, before adding “He was an awesome husband and an awesome father.”
