Six Nations: Bullish France ease past poor Italy

France bounced back from their defeat against Ireland by beating a poor Italy 40-18 side in Rome this afternoon.

In a match the French were expected to win, Les Blues didn’t disappoint as they ran rampant over Conor O’Shea’s Italy side at the Stadio Olympico in Rome.

Tries from Fickou, Vakatawa, Picamoles and Dulin, along with four penalties from Lopez gave them a comfortable win over a labouring Italian side who barely put up a fight.

Although they need much improvement the Italians did manage to get two tries of their own through Parisse, Esposito.

The win now moves France up to third in the table level on points with Ireland wh have 10.
