The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said it is possible that UFC star Conor Mcgregor could have a future in politics if he chose to do so.
Mr Varadkar who was speaking to sports website TMZ Sports during his visit to the US.
Although Mcgregor hasn’t really discussed a political future in the past, the current Taoiseach told the website that anything is possible.
It is thought the rather unusual question came after Mr Varadkar met the former Governor of California and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier this week.
The Taoiseach who was full of admiration for Mr Schwarzenegger, apparently told the website that “You never know, stranger things have happened,” when he was questioned about the possibility of Mcgregor making a career move into politics.
