That’s Nice! Mrs Brown’s Boy’s named the best sitcom of the 21st century




The cast of the smash hit series ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ are celebrating another milestone as the colouful comedy has been named the best sitcom of the 21st century.

Agnes and the gang are dancing a jig this morning after the British public named the show the best of millennium in an online poll for the ‘Radio Times’.

The BBC show held off stiff competition to claim top spot with Ricky Gervais’s ‘The Office’ coming in second. The hugely popular series also beat out competition from other comedy gems including ‘The IT Crowd’, ‘Gavin and Stacey’ and ‘The Inbetweeners’.

The news was widely welcomed by cast member Rory Cowan who paid tribute to the creator Brendan O’Carroll, saying: “It’s brilliant news,” Rory said. “I’m thrilled. Brendan O’Carroll is a genius and I work with him.”
