It has now been 10 months since the power sharing government in Northern Ireland collapsed after no agreement could be reached between the jurisdictions two largest parties over an Irish Language Act and a renewable heating scheme.
To further complicate the matter the DUP have entered into an agreement with Britain’s Conservatives to support Prime Minister Teresa May’s government.
For their part Sinn Fein have insisted they are trying to be flexible but in relation to their stance on Irish language and culture issues they are remaining steadfast in their demands.
November 13th marks Budget Day for Northern Ireland and without a highly unlikely compromise between the DUP and Sinn Fein the budget for Northern Ireland will sit squarely in the lap of Westminster.
