They’ve done it: Ireland reign supreme by beating the All Blacks in Dublin

Ireland have created history this evening as they have beaten the All Blacks 16-9 in the Autumn International Series in Dublin.

In a win that will be remembered throughout history, Ireland came out on top to claim the first win over New Zealand on Irish soil.

The game which saw the world’s top two go head to head, Ireland took the bragging rights by claiming a victory over a determined All Blacks side.

Ireland who were much improved following last weekend’s win over Argentina, will have Jacob Stockdale to thank as his try proved the difference between the two sides.

Joe Schmidt’s men who will also be encouraged by the fact New Zealand didn’t even score a try also Jonathan Sexton to thank as his kicking kept Ireland ticking over, despite Beauden Barrett keeping the All Blacks in touch via the boot.

The win will now be seen as a major stepping stone to next year’s World Cup in Japan.
