Over 10,000 people gathered in Washington today to let their voices be heard and draw attention to the deaths of unarmed black men at the hands of police officers.
The crowd, which includes the families of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, will march towards the Capitol building later today. The two black men died after incidents involving white police officers
The protesters will hold signs reading “Black Lives Matter” and “Who do you protect? Who do you serve”, and are calling for reforms of law enforcement procedures after several high-profile cases of what they regard as ‘police brutality.
