It is time to bask in the summer sunshine today as Met Eireann have confirmed that today could be the hottest day if the week yet with temperatures expected to hit a staggering 25C.
The seasonal warm weather is set to continue until the weekend as most places will experience prolonged sunny spells with soaring temperatures.
The national forecaster has said the midlands and the east of the country will experience the warmest temperatures which are expected to be in the mid 20s, whilst it will be slightly cooler in the West.
However you may enjoy it while it lasts as Met Eireann say the weather will become a lot more unsettled over the weekend.
