Gardai in Co Kerry have confirmed that an elderly woman has sadly died following a two-car crash on the N72 on Monday.
The woman aged in her 70s died at the scene after she collided with another vehicle which was driven by a man in his 20s on the Killarney to Mallow Road at approximately 2.25pm yesterday afternoon.
Gardai say the young man involved in the crash was quickly airlifted to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.
