Tragic: Woman killed in crash yesterday is believed to have been the mother of baby twins

A young woman was killed yesterday when her car hit a wall at Camblin, New Ross, Co Wexford.

The accident occured at approximately 4.50pm today. The victim is understood to have been 26 years of age and living in Campile, south Wexford.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and her body was taken to University Hospital Waterford. No other people were injured in the incident.

It is understood that the woman was the mother of baby twins.

The death brings to five the number of lives that have been lost on Irish roads over the Christmas period including two teenagers, one man in his 20s and another woman who aged 20 who sadly passed away following a car crash in Wexford yesterday afternoon.
