The victim of last night’s violence outside Anfield has been named as 53-yr-old Sean Cox from Dunboyne, Co. Meath.
It’s understood that two Italian thugs have been arrested by Merseyside Police after they were caught viciously beating up the 53-yr-old Irish fan who travelled to Anfield for last night’s game against Roma.
It’s understood that the man received a severe head injury after the two Italians cowardly attacked him with a belt and beat him around the head until help intervened.
Mr Cox was at the game with his brother but is believed to have been on his own when the two Italians badly beat him up.
The Italians are said to be both 25 and 26 years of age and in police custody.
