In what only be described as a nail biter, Australia managed to beat the geographical distance and the jury vote to lead the Eurovision 2016 the whole way through right to the end with the singer Dami and a song called “Sound of silence”.
But it wasn’t to be.
The Eurovision saw Australia get repeatedly 12 points after 12 points after douze points to win the jury vote and came forth in public vote where second place Ukraine managed to beat them on the last round of voting Jamala from the Ukraine with her song 1944.
However, Ireland decided to give Belgium 12 points.
