Dundalk drummer Mark Duffy decided to make a timelapse video of “The Town” with his GoPro to show its beauty and uniqueness.

Mark told The Liberal:
“Well wanted to do some sort of video project around Dundalk during last year as I was sick and tired of hearing bad news about Dundalk.”

The video is made up of a staggering 37,000 photos and some of the places filmed took at least 3 hours to get “the right shot”.

“I saw a video of a timelapse and more so a Hyperlapse clip of Tower Bridge and I thought it would be cool to use my new GoPro Hero 4 to do that. I knew GoPros could do timelapses but making the images move at such a slow pace is what really interested me. Oriel Park, Dundalk FC v Shamrock Rvs I’m July 2015 was the first clip I did. I made up a list of places I liked as a kid and in some places sat with my camera for 3hours (Supermoon/Bloodmoon eclipse). In total I captured 37,000 photos over a total of 33hours filming and it took me around 13 hours.”

Mark says he more than likely will make more of these videos in the future but for now is happy with how this one has been received.
