Watch: Ireland’s song chosen for Eurovision

With just over two months to go Ireland’s Entry into this year’s Eurovision has been released.

It was confirmed before Christmas that Brendan Murray represent the nation at the song contest in Kiev in Ukraine this May, and now the sing choice was confirmed this week.

The Hometown singer will perform the ballad Dying To Try, the power ballad was co-written by Swedish Grammy-nominated songwriter Jörgen Elofsson and British songwriter James Newman.

RTE say the song was chosen from over 320 entries by a judging panel of six industry professionals.
