Young Drogheda man Conor O’Dowd, who has Down Syndrome, releases powerful video asking for a No vote to protect babies with disabilities

Young Drogheda man Conor O’Dowd has released a very powerful video asking the people of Ireland to vote No on May 25th in the abortion referendum.

Conor, who has Down Syndrome, says that we must protect babies with disabilities.

He has called on Ireland to vote No in the upcoming abortion referendum on the Eighth Amendment.

The Eighth Amendment is currently the only protection unborn Irish babies have from abortion. If a yes vote wins, the Eighth Amendment would be repealed and it means that abortion would be permissible for any reason whatsoever up to 3 months.

Pro Life group LoveBoth state that in the UK, 90% of babies that are diagnosed in the womb as having Down Syndrome are aborted.

An even higher statistic is now in circulation in Iceland.

23-yr-old Conor, along with his parents Michael and Audrey, have been campaigning hard for a No vote in the upcoming abortion referendum.
