Gardai have confirmed this morning that they’ve launched an investigation following the retrieval of a body from the water in the capital.
The body was pulled from the water at Dun Laoghaire on Tuesday at 10pm.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later.
It’s understood the man’s body was retrieved near seapoint.
Gardai are not treating the death as suspicious.
