A teenage boy has died after his bicycle collided with a parked lorry in Lismore, County Waterford, this morning.
The incident happened on the N72 in Ballygalane shortly after 11am.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
The lorry driver was not injured.
The road was closed for a technical examination by gardaí but has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
