Police in the UK have revealed that last Thursday afternoon sometime between 4pm and 5.30pm, a 14-yr-old girl was walking through open land on Westleigh Park in Leigh, Wigan.
The child was attacked and dragged into nearby bushes where she was raped.
According to the Metro, following an appeal for information, a 14-yr-old boy was arrested on Saturday and is in custody being questioned.
Superintendent Mark Kenny said: “This has been a fast-paced investigation and as a result of our enquiries we have now made an arrest. At this stage of our investigations, we are not seeking anyone further in connection with this incident”.
