Gardaí in North Dublin have confirmed that they have arrested a man aged in his 30s following the discovery of a large quantity of cannabis herb during a routine stop and search on Thursday.
It is understood the man was arrested after Gardai from the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, stopped and searched a van in Coolock.
Upon searching the vehicle Gardai discovered the large quantity of illegal drugs believed to be worth in the region of €320,000.
Gardaí say the man was arrested at the scene and has since been taken to Ballymun Garda Station.
