Police in the US State of Florida have sadly confirmed that a newborn baby has died after being left inside a hot car for several hours.
According to USAToday, the infant was sadly pronounced dead after being found inside a car in Panama City with temperatures 32C outside on Wednesday.
Police investigating the incident say the baby was found by officers from Bay County Sheriff’s Office after they received a call out.
It is reported that a number of attempts were made to save the baby’s life but sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say an investigation has now been launched to determine how the baby was left inside the car.
