Sinn Fein have overtaken Fine Gael to become the country’s most popular party.
According to a latest poll carried out by the Mail on Sunday and Ireland Thinks, Mary Lou McDonald’s party are on the country’s most popular party on 29%.
The figures show that Fine Gael are the second most popular party on 28%, whilst Fianna Fail are considerably behind on 15%.
The opinion which is the first of 2021 also saw ab increase in support of Labour 5%, the Social Democrats 5%.
Meanwhile Aontu are at 4%, Solidarity-People Before Profit are at 3%, and Independents are at 8%.
