The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended the authorization of the Moderna vaccine for administration to people aged 12-17.

The jab has been associated with less serious side effects than the AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson compounds, which are banned in some European countries but remain in use here in Ireland.
