New York City is considering placing barriers on subway after recent attacks have made passengers nervous.
New York City will experiment with installing barriers or gates on some subway platforms, the city’s transit chief announced, amid concerns among residents about rising violence against commuters.
The move comes five weeks after a 40-yr-old woman, Michelle Go, was struck by a train at the Times Square subway station and killed after an assailant pushed her onto the tracks without warning.
