Switzerland.
Spanning 1621 feet in length, and hanging at 279 above sea level, the Charles Kuonen Suspension
Bridge is a marvel of modern engineering.
The new bridge spans the valley between the towns of Zermatt and Grächen, and cuts the journey across the
valley from four hours to just 10 minutes.
The bridge, named after its chief sponsor -a psychologist and co-owner of a Swiss winery-, has set a new record in suspension bridges worldwide while giving hikers stunning views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, and Bernese Alps.
