A 48-year-old man with a reported history of psychological issues is thought to be behind yesterday’s event in Muenster, Germany.
Three people are known to have died and dozens more are injured after a van crashed into a pedestrianised area of the city, mowing down a number of passers-by and a group of diners.
Authorities first thought the incident was a terror-related attack due to the similarities with events in other European cities, but this does not seem to be the case.
The driver is understood to have killed himself at the scene.
