It took slightly longer than two minutes, but McGregor pummeled his foe Dennis Siver into submission without so much as breaking a sweat.
The Russian-German fighter went down with 3.25 remaining in the second round. McGregor showed no mercy and dove on top of him, sealing a decisive victory with a flurry of punches as Siver lay on the ring.
McGregor now has a shot at the UFC title, but will have to defeat reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo first.
The title fight will likely take place in Las Vegas sometime in the near future.
