A homeless man in the U.S. has been praised for his willingness and his extraordinary efforts after he spent hours handing out his CV rather than beg for money,

The man Frederick Callison was in such a desperate need of a job, that willingly parked himself outside a supermarket until he gained much needed employment. The news of Mr Callison’s courageous efforts touched the hearts of many given the fact that he had moved to California just two years ago in order to work with the Salvation Army, however that endeavour didn’t work out and the experienced line cook wound up on the streets.

The brave and courageous man was then spotted in a sleeping bag with a stack of CV’s by the stores owner Michael Marteen, who then asked to read a copy before Mr Callison stood up and treated the discussion as a job interview.

Mr Callison’s resume amazingly listed eight past employers and compiled Callison’s vast experience, which included 35,000 hours of experience and seven years in kitchen management. Mr Callison was determined to gain employment that he even had his Social Security card, food handler’s certificate, and other documents ready to show that he could start right away.

Mr Carrison’s willing spirit had clearly touched Mr Marteen who quickly posted the homeless man’s remarkable CV to his Facebook page, before he put the word out to people he knew in the catering industry.

The amazing story had a happy ending because in less than a week, Callison thankfully landed a job at a pizza restaurant, which also supplied him with new clothes.

Speaking about Mr Callison’s turn around, Mr Marteen told local reporters: “He was ecstatic about landing a job and very grateful for the opportunity.” “He was up the night before studying the menu for hours.”
