Thousands of 123.ie customers are set to receive refunds from the company, as it admits mistakenly overcharging in some of its policies.
It is understood the error relates to a “technical error” in vehicle history information.
All affected customers have been contacted, and the refunds, averaging €80 plus an extra 5pc in compensation, are expected to be paid by next week.
