Beware: Gardai warn the public that they’ll be monitoring all public places today for lack of social distancing and anti-social behaviour

It’s going to be the hottest day of the year so far this year with temperatures hitting 26c up and down the country in many places and with that comes the gardai ready to pounce on anyone who isn’t adhering to social distancing or decent social behaviour.

Gardai say that they’re very concerned about the public congregating in places such as beaches, parks and other public areas today and that they’ll be out to ensure that doesn’t happen.

They say that they’re going to be out and monitor all areas where people will be eating, drinking and enjoying themselves.

This weekend is the first for outdoor hospitality so it remains to be seen what happens across the country.
