The Biden administration has rolled back on President Trump’s plans to end the almost 20-year-long war in Afghanistan and the Taliban has warned there will be consequences for the new President’s reversal of the Trump administration’s commitment to gradually remove all NATO troops from the country as a part of a hard won peace plan.
Reuters has reported, citing four senior NATO officials speaking on condition of anonymity that the Biden administration plans to continue to quagmire war.
“There will be no full withdrawal by allies by April-end,” one of the officials said.
President Trump’s administration was one of the first in a number of decades to launch no new wars and the 45th President was committed to ending US military involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
It now appears however, as if the return to status quo of never ending wars is a guarantee under a Biden Presidency.
