Boxing has arguably never been more popular with the likes of our own Katie Taylor, Tyson Fury, Andy Ruiz Jnr, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, and ooohh Derek Chisora, to name a few.
But it’s ‘back’ as apposed to have always been there. In the mid 90s, boxing was absolutely explosive with the likes of Chris Eubank, Steve Collins and the only and only Nigel Benn.
Benn, 55, recently shared a video on his social media showing him training ahead of a comeback, ended with him stating: “20 years. I’m back. I’m ready. One more time. I feel good. See you soon.”
It’s now understood that Benn genuinely is going to fight in late November, something that would be utterly incredible for a 55-yr-old boxer who retired 23 years ago.
There has been no opponent confirmed at this stage, but Benn may well continue fighting if all goes well in November.
