The weather has been rather benign over the past week or so, with unseasonably long sunny periods and mild temperatures.

Today, Saturday, will remain mild, but there is a strong chance of sudden, thundery downpours.
Tomorrow, Sunday, is forecast to be a cloudy and wet day across the north and east of the country, with brighter weather developing later in the day.
The coming week is expected to bring in very unsettled weather throughout, with periods of rain and strong winds mixed with bright spells, and temperatures hovering around the mid-teens.
