UPDATE: Gardai have released this statement in relation to this incident.
We have received multiple reports that a man armed with a gun is on the loose in Dundalk Insititute of Technology.
Reports are scarce at present but it’s understood that a large garda presence is now at the Dublin road located college.
As of publishing, it’s understood that thankfully no shots have been fired but that the man is still loose on the campus with students, lecturers and other staff advised to stay out of all public areas at this time.
