Gardai have launched an investigation after a man sustained gunshot wounds in Lucan, west Dublin, earlier today.
It is understood that the victim, believed to be a man in his 40s living in the Griffeen Glen Park of Lucan, was shot several times.
He was rushed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where his condition is described as ‘serious’.
