Gardai searched a house in South Dublin on Monday afternoon as part of an investigation into who “Rocket Man” actually is.
Viral footage showed a man walking up to the front of the crowd, facing gardai and launching what appears to be a firework missile into a number of gardai.
As a result of the search, gardai found a number of fireworks in the house and on Tuesday morning they arrested a man aged 30 under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Irishtown Garda Station.
On Wednesday morning, the man was charged with illegal weapon and firearms Act and will appear in court today.
