Veteran British Actor Sir Ian Holm has passed away, aged 88.
Holm starred in dozens of movies and stage plays, but was perhaps best known for his roles in Alien (1979), Chariots of Fire (1981), From Hell (2001), and The Lord of the Rings (2001).
He died peacefully in hospital from Parkinson’s-related causes.
