A proposed co-living development in Tallaght, Dublin, has been refused planning permission by An Bord Pleanála.
According to RTÉ News, development proposed by Batra Capital, which included plans to build 222 co-living units and 150 apartments at an Industrial Estate in Cookstown, was rejected by the board after it was found to have failed to provide an adequate living environment.
The plan which drew criticism from both the public and opposition TD’s when it seemingly got the backing from the Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy was also found to have a shortfall in communal facilities.
An Bord Pleanála added that the overall proposal was found to be incompatible with ministerial guidelines.
