Concerns grow even though Martin says that for the moment, the unvaccinated will not see their freedoms further restricted in Ireland by another lockdown but he is ruling ‘nothing out’

Even though the government have said that for the moment, they’re not going down the same route as Austria and imposing a lockdown for those who are unvaccinated only, many people fear that Ireland is now rapidly heading into a two-tier society where anything is possible.

Taoiseach appointee Micheal Martin has said that the unvaccinated will not see their freedoms further restricted in Ireland, a measure that Austria has just introduced, only allowing residents there to earn their freedom back by going to work.

Mr. Martin has nevertheless said that ‘nothing can be ruled out.’

Government ministers will meet with members of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) later this evening to discuss the worsening coronavirus situation.
