The HSE announced on Monday evening that there was 401 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another 77 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 15,652 cases and 687 deaths with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 88 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,733 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 207 from hospital settings.
It means that as of Thursday morning, there’s a total of 804 deaths from coronavirus.
