Ireland is scheduled to receive the first batch of the Pfizer vaccine today, with inoculation planned to begin over the coming week.
It is understood that up to 10,000 doses will be available in the first batch.
The Health Service Executive (HSE)’s boss Paul Reid has referred to the event as a ‘momentous day.’
