A doctor in the UK has been fired from his position with the Department for Work and Pensions as a disability accessor after he refused to pretend a 6ft bearded man was a woman.

Dr David Mackereth (56) is currently involved in a legal dispute with the DWP for discrimination against his religious beliefs because he would not use pronouns relating to people who make believe they are opposite gender what they are or people who believe they are a made up gender.

The BBC reports the DWP said it could not comment due to an ongoing employment tribunal.

Dr Mackereth disagrees with a tribunal, claims he was fired, and gave the following statement to the media outside the tribunal in Birmingham

“Last year I was training to do medical assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions and because of my Christian convictions I felt I couldn’t use pronouns – the words ‘he’ and ‘she’ – in an arbitrary manner.
I said that in good conscience I couldn’t do that. The Department for Work and Pensions took some time to think about it and decided then that I wasn’t fit to do the job because of, I would say, my Christian convictions.
So, I am coming to court today because I want the right to practise medicine as a Christian doctor in the way that I always have.”

The state enforcement of transgender ideology is becoming increasingly pernicious in the UK and other European countries.

Some have commented that the doctor should simply identify as Muslim and the DWP would refrain from punishing him for his faith.
