The classic works of Dr Suess are the latest pieces of literature to fall victim to the political correctness mob.
On Tuesday, the 117th anniversary of the birth of Theodor Seuss Geisel, the company that controls his works announced it will no longer publish six Dr. Seuss books because of their supposedly “racist” imagery the Washington Post gleefully reports while Joe Biden has removed Suess works from the “Read Across America Day”.
The “woke” fanatics are moving ever more brazenly to censor free speech and cancel individuals, ideas, literature and art they deem haram by their ever changing and more radical standards.
“These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” the company said in a statement. “Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ catalogue represents and supports all communities and families.”
In a time when the leftist PC mob is in the ascendancy and is ruthlessly demanding conformity it is perhaps pertinent to remember one is his thoughtful sayings “Why fit in when you were born to stand out”.
