The Tanaiste (well, for the time being) is out canvassing in Dublin and receiving what is being described as “utter contempt” on the campaign trail.
Burton, in a desperate attempt to outflank the even more left policies of the AAA, Social Democrats and People before Profits, has issued proposals to plunge new young people entering the job seeking safety net, into even more impoverishment than even the extreme left would have them in.
Burton, who is allegedly under 24 hour armed escort is finding it basically impossible to canvass in some areas of West Dublin.
One Labour insider said:
“It’s difficult to see how she can retain her seat such is the current reception on the doorsteps.”
