Celtic Pure, the company recently affected by a massive recall issue nationwide, has closed temporarily, pending a restructuring of the business.
The firm saw thousands of bottles of water taken off the shelves after routine testing revealed excessive levels of arsenic.
Celtic Pure is blaming a marked decrease in sales and about €3m in ‘unforeseen’ costs for the closure. An examiner will now assess the business’ long-term viability and issue recommendations in due course.
