Fertility rates in England and Wales have fallen to the lowest level since 1938 and according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), one third of babies born in Britain are now born to foreign mothers.
As fertility rates in England and Wales continue to collapse in one age group, women over 40, births have actually increased to 16.5 per 1,000 women.
In total the fertility rate in England and Wales decreased from 1.7 to 1.65 from 2018 to 2019 reflecting trends in other Western and developed nations which have seen dramatic decreases in birth rates so much so that experts recently predicted that numerous countries will see significant drops in population by end of century.
Marriage rates in the UK have also dropped to their lowest record in history and the ONS figures show that the nationality of women from outside the UK having the most babies was Polish while slightly behind that group was Pakistani women.
