Years of college, thousands of hours of study time, and personal sacrifice seem to be non-factors to consider when hiring new staff these days, it seems, if the latest Jobbridge blunder is to be believed.
According to an internship posting on the JobBridge website, the HSE is looking for a fully qualified psychologist to work for 30 hours a week at the Waterford Mental Health Services over a period of nine months.
The ad further specifies that the individual must have a degree in psychology and a master’s in psychology in a relevant clinical area. The individual would receive an allowance of €50 per week in addition to their weekly social welfare payment.
To top things off, the ad says that the position would “provide a stepping stone” for jobseekers.
It was recently announced that the entire Jobbridge scheme will soon come under review for what it is, a legal back door for employers to hire dirt cheap labor and exploit the system.
