Gardaí in Waterford have begun an investigation following the death of an infant on Tuesday.
According to RTÉ News, the investigation comes after the infant died from unexplained circumstances at a house at approximately 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Gardaí say a post-mortem examination is due take place.
They added that no further information will be released at this time.
