“Heatwave” predicted for the month of June in the UK

But let’s not get too excited, cause the term “heatwave” is rather relative.

According to forecasters across the Irish Sea, the thermometer is set to hit 28C come next weekend, a temperature which would rival some Mediterranean resorts at this time of year, but a far cry from an actual heatwave.

Ireland, meanwhile, will remain the usual wet and windy for the next 48 hours or so, though milder and sunnier weather will arrive late Wednesday evening.

Meteorological sources in the UK say that they expect fine weather to last all throughout June.
