In a break with other Western politicians German lawmakers have spoken out in condemnation of a “growing trend” of global violence against Christians.

Most Western leaders have either ignored the massacre of hundreds of Christians in Sri Lanka or used bizarre language referring victims as “Easter worshippers” and refusing to condemn the Muslim terrorist culprits. This was the case with former US President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Other leaders such as our own Taoiseach have failed to offer any words in sympathy or solidarity with the Christians of Sri Lanka.

This stands in stark contrast to these leaders response to the Christchurch attack on two Mosques and has led to many accusations of hypocrisy and “Christophobia” online.

However, German parliamentarians from across the political spectrum have joined together to condemn the global violence against and persecution of Christians.

“Members of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the liberal Free Democrats (FDP) and Greens all expressed their concern about what they saw as growing violence against Christians,” reported Deutsche Welle.

According to the UN Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world.

Muslims terrorists have launched genocidal campaigns against Christians in North and Sub Saharan Africa as well as in the Middle East now have now directly targeted praying Christians for the first time in Sri Lanka.

Christians also face sever persecution in China and increasingly hostile “progressive” governments in the West.

In a bizarre trend the liberal dominated media in the Developed, Western world has downplayed this persecution of Christianity and has sought to defend Islam to the point of pathology.

Ironic as the liberal values they promote are antithetical to those promoted in Islam.
